Hi! My name is Terri. I grew up in a small rural community in upstate New York. It was clear that from a young age, God had His hand upon me and I felt the calling into full-time ministry as a teenager. I went to a college where I earned a Bachelor's degree and then went on to attend seminary.
My husband and I served in an inner city ministry in Paterson, NJ for 10 years and then went into church planting with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. We now serve in church ministry in Western NY.
I am a licensed consecrated and ordained official worker with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. My husband, Dan, and I have been married for 35 and have three adult children.
Besides writing and teaching, I love to cook, sew and craft. In my spare time, you can find me either in the kitchen or in my sewing room.
I would describe my writing style as transparent. Most of what I write about are things that I have learned in my Christian walk and ways the Lord is dealing with me.
I don't have all the answers and I struggle like we all do so when I write, I don't necessarily have anyone but myself in mind. I just pass on the things that the Lord is teaching me.
Writing is such a part of me that I can't imagine not being able to express myself in this way.
Ever since I was a child I have loved writing. I won a state-wide writing contest when I was in the 4th grade. After I was married and in full-time ministry, I started writing Wednesday Words of Encouragement to the women in our church which eventually became my first book, Words of Encouragement for a Discouraged World. You can find my books on Amazon.com.
